“Your work inspires me and reminds me to not take what I am passionate about for granted.”

- Kurt, a former work colleague who thought I was crazy when I bought my first Leica and is now one of my biggest fans

Hi, I’m Alvin, husband, father, biker, maker, and lover of cheeseburgers, coffee and Leica cameras.

After spending 20+ years in advertising as an account, strategic & business leader, I now find myself scratching that photographic itch in a way I had never anticipated. I had not planned to become a photographer, but we only get one life and it just feels right, to be giving this my all. I find myself in the unique position having lead businesses, creative strategies, client relationships, agency teams, production & execution of multi-million dollar campaigns as the “business guy,” while now becoming the “creative guy.” A bridge between the family photographer aimed at capturing real, genuine, beautiful moments, a portrait photographer capturing the true essence behind a gaze, and that commercial photographer executing against a hope and vision as personal to a client as his own family & children.

Overall, my intent is to work with passionate, real people who value all that we are fortunate to have. Because we’re in this together.

Jen & I photographed by my good friend and fellow photographer, Micah Baird, a few days before our wedding day in 2010. Our theme was “Hiker Marries Biker,” essentially summer camp with 100 of our closest family & friends. Guess who’s the hiker and who’s the biker.

The intrepid hiker… but she’s a biker too!

And a beach artist.

Horsing around… always.

Mother / daughter partner adventurers.

My little photographer in training. Her current favorite subject of choice are flowers (when not raiding the hotel lobby candy dish).

I am very grateful for these two.
